Fail

Fail

A Chapter by Dean

Something so difficult, something so wrong,

One job to do and failing miserably at it.

Sick to my stomach, so why not empty it?

It’s over and done, lost a lifetime ago…

Spending my nights watching old dreams

And screaming my days away from her ears.

I should have paid attention, should have known,

My responsibility, your well being…

Damn it. I neglected yet again,

Forgive me, my angel…

I failed.

This was smooth. I like the form and the message was simple and clear. Here is what I saw in this. I saw a young man lamenting over a relationship, where the woman had been killed in a car crash or something because the young man had been drinking to much.
The imagery of emtying it reminded me of someone puking up the alcohol.

Failure is an interesting thing. We can let it eat us to nothing, or learn from it and be reborn stronger.

Great Writing!
