There Was Someone Screaming InsideA Poem by R.E.K.wish it didn't happenMoment I heard him speak Saw them Two lost boys Desert had Forsaken them Pretty wemon With ugly souls As plenty as the sand But they were dying of thirst Flopping aimlessly, Sizzilng As the quiet slipped away As beautiful, meaningful, Simply in the moment Became More and more scarce And the voids within them Only grew greater The light within him So endless So shimmering Seemed haunted By his past, Withered in the shadow Of Pickled words And scrawny letters Putrid incisions Made by Nonsense fantasies And he forgot What it meant To be sober And he forgot his true Depth, his true Meaning, And he forgot What it meant to Just be.
