Let G-d Take Control

Let G-d Take Control

A Poem by R.E.K.
"

Please, don't do something you'll regret

"
Something echoes
As it drops into the well
I wonder how far down
I could have fallen,
How far down I fell

Winter is coming...
Oh G-d,
Winter is coming...

Strap myself to the exhaustion
Let its latitude grab hold
Say nothing of the pain
Cry, just don't text that man of gold

Darling, dear
Hold to G-d now,
You're gonna be okay...

No, please!
Don't,
Wait!!!
Just close your eyes
And pray...

The urgency of the tone of this well rhymed poem seems akin to panic. The speaker sounds like one who is teetering at the edge of some sort of abyss. The mysterious "man of gold" appears to be the source of the anxiety, so this may possibly be the story of a relationship gone bad. Or he may be the symbol of something else, like a drug. Whatever, the speaker is seeking a spiritual resolution, so maybe a desirable ending is in the offing. Good luck.
