And There's No Right Way When You're Saying Goodbye

And There's No Right Way When You're Saying Goodbye

A Poem by R.E.K.
"

goodbye my love, forbidden to me

"
And there's no right way
When you're saying goodbye
And I hope we go on to birth our butterflies
You and I
We held on
To let go

And I'm crying now
But the tears and the pain
They will heal somehow
Though it's hard to explain
And our hearts are cold
But we'll cradle a new flame
To make us a place
In this world
In this life

And I touch my lips and I want you to know
That I kiss your own as I push us to go
Away
I love you so I'm saying goodbye
So I'm learning to cry
So I'm trying
I try for you
I try
I try
I try

And there's no right way when you're saying goodbye
And I watched you sleep with a tear in my eye
I whispered
"Thank you God for this precious time with he whom I love!"
And I said "Goodnight."
But you didn't know
I let the rope snap back
My biggest fear took hold
And we hold on to God
We embrace His love
And we hold on
To let go
