"In Search Of Nothing"A Poem by krisMy will is spent, my mind is bent, On fierceness and ferocity, Heading towards the spiral down, With uncontrolled velocity, A victim of, undying love, Kindhearted generosity, So now I pay with everyday, Reprisal, Reciprocity.
Jaded, faded, and still frustrated Blurting out profanity, I walk the edge, a daily dredge, Twixt brilliance and insanity, Through my descent, my mind is rent, A victim of my vanity, I may explode, cant take the load, So can you lend a hand to me?
I try my best, to win this quest, To sacrifice my piety, Reaching out, with nagging doubt, In search of noteriety, Thoughts i conjure, tend to injure, The deplorable variety, I'll settle in, with beer and gin, And spoil my sobriety © 2008 kris |
