Emotional Wreck.

From the light of dawn breaking

to the darkness of the night fall

and beyond

Our inner faith,

hope and courage.

Is not giving up and letting go.

To fall into the deep pit of darkness

of no return ever to be repeated.

Even when the demons

beckon you forth into their arms.

You resist with all your selfworth

you can muster up

to hold on for yet another new day.

And when that new day does arrive

You know in your own heart of hearts

It was worth it.

Maybe not then

but later on.

You will do.

This is one of my favorite pieces I've read on here just because of how it speaks to my depression. Unlike most people right now..it didn't start during this quarantine. It actually a really long time ago. I'm still walking through it.
