Only Me.

I'm no poet and I know it

But I speak from the heart.

And give all in my thoughts

and emotions in my writes.

None of us are perfect.

But what is in your heart and soul

Does flow directly into your scribbles

and shares with the world.

Good, bad and indifferent.

That is what makes us

who we are as individuals

and unique to ourself.

Dawn - what else can be said? As poets we so often wear our hearts on our sleeves.. The feeling we so often express come from our deepest feelings. All we can hope for is that some others might feel the same.

hmmmmmmmm straight up true, Dawn! but you have to admit one can get stronger and express more poetically the more one writes, reads and learns eh!? one can easily become disappointed with the efforts and/or criticism that is not constructive ... or become more sensitive than is beneficial ... i hope for all of us these things pass quickly if not ever visiting ;))) i have enjoyed your poetry going on years dahlink! i always find something i like and can relate to in your work
