Bring back common sense.

what the hell is normal anymore?

I have no bloody idea.

The world has been flipped upside down

turned inside out.

And nowadays.

You don't know if you're coming or going

been or went.

Common sense has gone out the window

completely.

Half the time. I am left scratching my

head wondering what the hell is going on.

No one seems to be happy

everyone seems to be arguing over this

and that and the next thing.

sometimes we need to just stop watching the news to be happy lol
I also have cut back to limited time on social media i took it off for a week then put it on and only go on restricted times. Im a bit happier. too much internet!!

That is so very true Julie, its constant gloom and doom on the news. Whenever you watch it. Never really any nice or happy upbeat stories.

I rarely watch much tv anymore. Bar the odd soap opera. LOL what can I say my weakness. blushes.

I was born in the 60s but from what I can remember as a child it was better, happier and everyone looked out for each other in the neighbour hood. And no locked doors and rarely anyone got killed or stabbed. Unlike today. Hatred, and death is growing everywhere. Thanks Julie. appricate your thoughts. Dawn.

COMMON SENSE!!?? What about common courtesy? - I'm with you, then again may be I'm just getting old, but it seems that more and more we seem to care less and less about our fellow man. Makes me wonder when society will wake up and realize how dependent we are on one another.

Dawn, I'm sure sure common sense has ever been "common," but it's certainly a rare commodity today. We live without boundaries, everything put on display, and then argued to the figurative death. It's a sad show I prefer to turn off, and return to my common life. Thank for sharing.

you couldn't have said it any clearer my friend ..i feel this frustration .. especially with news and politics .. have pretty much turned them off .. so clearly propagandizing ... twisting events and what someone said .. never talking about the real of our lives .. always assassinating character .. common sense is something my parents gleaned from their parents .. hard working, dedicated and valuing honesty .. the kind of "stuff" that got them through the big wars, depression of all depressions, drought, dust storms .. locust .. and built and thriving successful Nation ... proud to be American ... its crazy ... didn't mean to go on in such a way ... love your poem .. wouldn't change a thing .. its gritty and honest ..
