Taking the pee

Taking the pee

A Poem by Onlyme

The bullies of this world
rule the roost.
From gangsters,
elite criminals
drug dealers, people smugglers
Bent government officials.
The ones with money control
this world.

How sad we live under
someone else's commands
power and fear.

Freedom of speech my a*s.
Being watched and listen in on.
Via your television sets, phones
and other electronic devices
each and every day

Closed-circuit cameras on nearly
every street.
Let alone speed cameras on
major roads and motorways.

You just can not get away
from big brothers prying eyes
and listening ears.

Forget going online and thinking
no one notices what you're doing.

The only way you be free from anyone
is living on a desert island,
In some far off land.

 But then again.
Some satellite might find you.

yes, the satellite will find you....such truth here undisputed...reminds me of the song by Zager and Evans "in the year 2525 if man is still alive" but i am wondering if that will be true in 2025. They may be 500 years off.

I've often wondered what life will be like in ten years. (if we're still here). We are being watched in everything we do. To find criminals that is often a plus. But for the rest of us. We need only wait to have our identities stolen.

Thanks Relic, and that is so very true. The future really is scary. Dawn.
