None of us are Perfect

None of us are Perfect

A Poem by Onlyme

To give yourself to someone,
where it be as a truly honest
and an open, decent friend
or a good kind neighbour,
a great classmate,
or good workmate,
or lover.

To then be rejected,
tossed into the garbage bin.
And treated like nothing afterwards.

Is far from a manner
that you thought you
would be accustomed
to being treated to
or respected by anyone.

More so as you were
being a true friend or
a soulmate
or lover to them.

Sadly not everyone
can comprehend
what that entails
or even  being
able to handle
having in you.

It's not a bad reflection
on you at all.
It's something
in the making of them that
makes that problem.

And definitely not YOU.

So always remember
that if it happens
sadly to you.

You gave with a good
open heart and soul.

And they
just could not handle
your kindness
and decency.

Due to whatever conflicts
they have going on deep
within themselves.

That troubles them.
And are highlighted on
having you in their lives.

So for some folks
it's easier to be mean
towards you and get rid
of you from their lives.

Than to face their own
personal demons that plague them.

Dawn - some people just don't know how to react towards those that give them love and affection. It is not the givers fault. They must move on and hopefully learn from their mistake, and not be afraid to share their own decency again.

Take care - Dave

I agree. Some people are just incompatible with each other. Even a great person might be done wrong by, and that’s simply the way it is. To love with all your heart is to accept failure, and love again.

Much wisdom here Dawn. How right you are. Very well conveyed lines speaking the truth. Hope all is good with you and yours and enjoy the Bank Holiday.
