Baptism

The pitter-patter of the raindrops

upon my head outside

refreshes my heart and soul.

As well as cleansing my body

from head to toe.

My woes are lifted for awhile.

Like a baptism of rainwater

caused by the heavens above.

I smile to myself

And feel alive again.

This is beautifully refreshing Dawn. Makes me think of last Thursday when it was scorchio and all records broken That stifling, unbearable heat and then the relief of rainfall. Wonderful. Hope all is OK with you and yours Dawn

you know, i relate to this, Dawn....
sometimes during a hard rain...i just walk outside and bask in it...
just feels like a baptism...and then i can come back into the house, and start again.
