Making it Work....

either on your own as a single person or as a couple.

The counsellor really is listening to your inner self

That wants to fix you and make you whole again.

The journey begins when you are ready to look

at yourself in a new light.

And to understand and know

what you do want in life

and who you do want

around you too

always.

And to work towards reaching your goals.

It does not mean you have to shut anyone out

of your life.

or kick them out of your life.

It means involving them and finding a

happy compromise and growing together.

If that is what they want also.

Self-love does not mean being alone

and growing alone by yourself.

It means growing together with the one

you love, outwith loving yourself too.

Together on a journey.

A couple who want to be together

stay together and work together

towards their goals.

Like a ship on the ebb and flow of

the tide steering it into calmer waters

together.

Hand on hand holding the wheel

and steering it beside each other.

The sea will not always be calm and nice

but rough times will come and go.

But together they can overcome

together and be happy

Just like if you alone to begin with

you can overcome too

by yourself.

I see that you're saying, we must realize that we're not the beginning and the end individually, but we are part of the whole. That the only way to truly make it all work is to do it together. Through the good times and the bad, the rough and the smooth, you have to do it together. Not always having it your own way, but to compromise so that you both can feel that what you are accomplishing you are accomplishing together. Thank you for your insight.
