acoustic guitar

A Poem by Onlyme

He sits and strums his acoustic guitar
making sweet tones of comfort and sheer delightful
music that fills the atmosphere.
As I bask inside the glory of the musical tunes.
and melodies.
That echo inside my ears, heart my mind.
Is filled me with beautiful images of heavenly
serenity and calm.

He gazes over to me and smiles.
And I feel such joy at listening to his playing.

This is a really nice poem about how music can uplift your spirits and calm you when you need to be calmed. Having someone play for you, is the icing on the cake for me. How creative is that? Your own personal musician? Doesn't come much better than that Dawn.

This piece brings such bliss to my heart! I always listened to my dad playing his guitar and it made me want to get one, to learn. He gladly bought me one last year and I've slowly been teaching myself how to play. I much prefer acoustic guitars instead of electric/bass guitars. Perhaps it's cause I enjoy the softer sounds when you strike a note...when you play a song...I'm not much for electic guitars cause that's for people who enjoy louder type music. I'm more of a soft-sound type of person...I enjoy heavy music at times, but I just enjoy the soft sound of acoustic guitars. Acoustic makes beautiful music. I love mine so much & I named him J.R. --the nickname of Johnny Cash.

Dawn it is music that helps me to write poetry ..it sort of takes me elsewhere and lets the words flow in.

When I saw the title, I knew I had to read it. (I play acoustic guitar and own a sinful number of them) Such a warm and sweet sound they make--right? And in your lovely poem, you add a touch of, shall I say, romance?
