Barking Mad

Is creating and expressing yourself,

so wrong?

Particularly, if you are not hurt

anyone?

Least of all yourself.

By just declaring your inner thoughts

outwardly on a pc screen.

It's so sad. That sometimes to do just

that. Gets you into trouble. And hurts

someone else. 

Namely, because someone didn't like

your point of view. Or the way you

expressed yourself simply

by announced your thoughts

out loud.

At the end of the day.

We can't please everyone in life.

And more so ourselves quite a

lot of the time.

In case we offend,

hurt or give someone something to

moan about us over.

As so many unhappy souls walk around

on this planet called earth.

Instead of just live and let live.

None of us is perfect.

Dawn - We poets should feel very fortunate when we can with poetry ease a spirit in agony as a priest does after hearing a confession that helps or a surgeon removes a pain that hurts or a mechanic replaces a part that fails. You just never know who might fall in love with poetry many times after being helped by it just once, especially when "unhappy souls walk around" in need. Much enjoyed Dawn. Namyh

I do find myself writing and then unpublishing certain things because I know something is going to offend a certain person or persons that I like. But other than that, I have been loved and I have been hated, but all in all its still a hell of a ride. Great point of view!

have to admit...poets are a very sensitive lot...and often what is written in certain poems, what might be said in certain reviews will certainly touch a nerve...and unfortunately these touched nerves can be weapons of mass destruction...as the verbal bullets fly back and forth.
the poetry zone becomes a war zone.

sad that some have nothing better to do. many are miserable and you know that misery loves company. they try to bring people down to their level ... :)
