A mother's love is beyond eternal

A mother's love is beyond eternal

A Poem by Onlyme

She visits her daughter's grave.
Every day, maybe just
for 10 to 20 minutes
at a time.
To feel close to her.
As she never forgot her
and never will.
Even after all these years.

Her tiny headstone
surrounded by teddy bears
in plastic wrapping
to keep the weather
from ruining them.

And a lovely miniature
rose bush
blooming
beside her tidy
shrine.

As well as a
helium-filled
Red heart-shaped balloon
with the
words
"Mummy loves Rose
My beautiful daughter in
heaven with the angels
and God now".

You see, her name was Rose.
She was only 9 days old
when she died.

Due to some complications
after her birth.
But  Rose survived
long enough.
To give her mum
a chance to get to know her
and meet her properly
before she sadly passed.

As we all know a mother's
love is beyond eternal.

Another very lovely and sensitive piece based on sad observations of the pain of losing a child. Having been there I get this one. Two small typos in an otherwise lovely piece:

Every day, maybe just
for 10 to 20 minutes

Thank Jacob. For your thoughts. hugs. Dawn.
Ack this is a tear-jerker. Losing children close after birth is extremely tragic and hard to write about.
