It's funny how you get some people, who are so arrogant and self-opinionated.
That they don't mind who they hurt or are being rude or mean too. A long their travels in life.
Everything they say and do. Is correct and done their way properly. And to a very high standard. Fair enough.
No problem with that an all. It's just the way they go about it.
Like they have no faults. And they love to flaunt their education, cleverness
and pride onto others. Who fall below their standards, class or skill levels. And love to correct and judge, let alone make them look small or stupid. I find that sad and mean.
When someone takes the moral high ground.
Just because they were lucky to be well educated, clever enough to succeed in whatever it's they are doing, But to rub your nose into your mistakes and bad ways in an off-handed bad manners way is really mean.
But I like it. When someone who is clever and helpful and aids you in a nice way to help you make yourself better.
It all comes down to how you deal with people. And the way you talk to them.
Someone was so lovely to me. To help me with my mistakes and I loved the advice, help and support.
And I saw someone else. Be really mean to someone in a review just a short time ago. About something.
And the way they spoke to them upset me. That is why I wrote this.
A nice tone and attitude, let alone manners, go a long way. And a mean, nasty one. Really turns someone off. Even if you're better educated than others. It does not cost anything to be kind and nice.
Just my opinion obviously. Education is wonderful and great. But manners go a long way too.
Dawn - I agree with you whole heartedly. I don't care how smart someone is, how educated, the important thing is being nice to people. If someone feels the need to shoot someone down over their writing, especially posted here, then they are sick. They should post their own work somewhere else. Personally, I appreciate the comments I've gotten, generally they've always been positive even when they are critical. I know that I have learned from them. Don't let them bother you. You are much too good for them aaaand if the do, try telling them to F _ _ _ _ off! Please pardon my French?

Dear Dawn my primary school motto :Manners Maketh Man. Instilled in me from an early age. Sadly nowadays manners seem to be elusive. They cost nothing and I don't understand it. Many things which were important in my youth appear to be on the back burner today. Good morning to you.
Manners, courtesy & politeness cost nothing do they.. so why are they so rare these days... a good rant Dawn and one I sense a lot of people share.... thank you...
I agree dear Dawn.

Just because your clever does not mean your nice."
If we follow the golden rules. A better world, it would be. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I don't expect anyone to be like me, but I have this silly notion that all through life, everything we say and do is being noted by a higher power and that one day, we'll be held accountable. Being mean and rude on the internet is so easy for some, but let me tell you, they're not to get away with it. Hold your head high, my friend, and don't let those noisy mosquitoes deter you from anything.
People on social media can’t see you and you can’t see them or where they live so they think they can say anything they want and hurt you, it’s happened to me when I was on another writer’s site so just post your stories and I’ll check them out and only give constructive criticism because I know how it is to work hard on a story. Also you don’t have to be a college graduate to be a fiction writer. I have no degree myself.

Thank you Whitebear, thanks for your support and understanding kindness. cheers. Dawn.
I like Dave's comments and yes nice is the way but not to the extent you are the victim out of it, sometimes you have to take a stance cos nice doesn't cut it!
