Kindness

A hand to hold
a smile to give
a cuddle to receive
and a nice word to share.

These are just small acts
of kindness, we all can give
to one another, family
friends and even
strangers.

Even a simple hello to
someone passing you on
the pavement.
Can lift their spirits
and set them on their way
with a skip in their step.

In this fast paced world.
Everyone is constantly in
a hurry.
Or heads down and on an iPhone
or a laptop.

Put them away and actually
Look each other in the face
and smile and maybe even

say Hi.

Instead of a cold response of
bowed heads all over the place.

There isn't enough kindness around nowadays Dawn. People have lost the art of showing it. It costs nothing and even a warm smile can really brighten up someone's day. Love the message in your lines. Hope you and yours are all ok.
