Such happiness Shared.

Such happiness Shared.

A Poem by Onlyme

The pitter-patter of the raindrops

fall on my head.

Everyone is rushing around trying

to get indoors, to get away from the rain.

Using an umbrella, or a hooded coat or jacket,

with a cap or hats upon their heads.

To help keep them all protected from the downpour.

Let alone they are wearing boots

or shoes and maybe wellingtons

to keep their feet bone dry.

I suddenly see before me.

Jumping in every puddle that he sees.

With his daddy too also doing the exact

same thing. Along with his son.

Oh, what fun they are both having.

The father roughly says,

is twenty-five years of age.

And his son looked about four.

Such laughter and fun

from both were heard.

As I suddenly look up and heard too.

An amazing entertaining sight before my eyes.

He lifts his son upon his shoulders and

spins him around like a plane in the sky.

Dipping and spinning and swooping high and low

then up again. In and out the puddles they go again.

On his shoulders high.

Evenly he lets the little boy down.

And they sit on a bench.

Beside each other with hands face up

towards the sky. And no hats on the heads.

Looking upward they are letting each tiny globule

drop onto their heads and faces with massive grins

upon their faces.
