Sickness of the land..

Humanity is fading fast.

The homeless are

being abused and beaten,

let alone killed.

Instead of helped by society.

Life just seems

to not be valued

or respected

like it was

when my parents

were younger.

Like today.

In the news,

some homeless guys

are attacked with

a fire extinguisher,

soaked and humiliated.

Then beat with a guitar.

By feral twisted subhumans.

As they stood

and laughed in their faces

as they attacked them.

It's like in London

our capital city

they are knifing

each other,

every single day.

And the Major

of that city.
Just sits back

and does nothing.

Nowadays.

It's just a fact of life.

If you live another day

without someone

attacking you,

or kill you,

in general.

In a random attacks

on our streets.

Like a man on the train

the other day.

Going to London

with his young son.

Got killed on the train

in front of his child.

In broad daylight.

Fact and truth.

I really pity

the future of our children

and life in general.

With this sickness that is spreading.

Yes the sickness of the human mind- ill never understand it thats y i stay to myself dint read newspapers or watch tv too much heartache pain horrid things out there- but sadly its choices humans make- ill never understand the suckness of the mind in some- dont they know its sending them straight to hell....true words couldnt have been better said🌹

I just find it so sad and shockingly disturbing that society and the government just sit back and do nothing. It just a matter of fact. Such devastating evil things happen. And no one seems to care. As another life is gone for good.

Yes i know-UK the wordt sorry to say - they allow so much to slip through give the druggies alcoholics enough to feed thier addictions while others suffer- seems to be no balance no sanity in certain areas- where help is needed theres little or none where things are out of control they fuel the fire- disgusting actually makes me sick- sad to watch 🌹

Hi Dawn,
This is such a sensitive and heartfelt poem. It is quite sad, all the violence and lack of respect for life. Here in North Carolina, and in other parts of the U.S., some people's pets including some horses, are being shot right on the owners' properties. Another tragic horse shooting happened last week in North Carolina. Your compassionate poem made me think about the madness that seems to have gotten worse all over the world.

Hi GothGranny, See this is what I mean, I just can't understand humans at times. Like with what is happening in your country to the horses. Simply Why? I really don't understand all this badness and evilness in this world. With all the modern technology you would think, humanity would be better not worse long run.

I think the world has become even crazier, and I didn't think it was possible, at first. I've heard about the increased violence in the UK too. Maybe we really are in the, "end times."

It is hard to watch dear Dawn, it is symptomatic of the pendulum swing we have both been experiencing here in the states and in the UK! This ugly political knee jerk isolationism giving voice to the hates and prejudices that have been clawing at the better judgement of the masses. The empowerment has trickled down the lines of society on so many fronts as of late, its hard for me catch my breath!! I believe it is the mandate of us the writers and artists to give voice to these inequities and stand fast a bulwark to voice the seeds of insurrection for change and remind those of whom have forgotten the folly of disregard! nicely said sentiment in this write dear Dawn!

Sombre words Dawn, but you have described well the sickening crime that is now almost every day stuff. Unheard of when I was younger. Drug crime rife in our capitals and now spreading further afield. Organised crime netting millions that is out of control. Solution : I never thought I would say this but it needs a radical solution. Legalise drugs, set up centres where it can be controlled properly. Bye bye drug dealers. Police save money. Government can invest savings in education and rehabilitation. End of. Jailing someone for possession of a but of weed is nuts when you look at the number of alcoholics around. Thank you for highlighting what's happening and the ineptitude of those who govern us.

Cheers Chris, you understand me. It's so sad that the government that rule. Just sit back in the Ivory towers and allow this to happen to its own. But then again is it intentional. To get rid of us all normal down to earth folk in general. And then the elite rule themselves. Without anyone standing in their road.
