Chloe

Chloe

A Poem by Onlyme

Sally,  just woke up and turned and
saw a note on the side
of her bedside table.
Written by a child
In crayon.

She opened it up
and sat up in bed
and read it.

Dear Mum, I know you are very sad
and upset. And miss Chloe very much.
I am sorry she died, Mum. I love you very
much and Chloe too. Love Wendy.

ps Daddy helped me with this letter for
you.

Tears welled up in her eyes.
And she broke down crying.

In walked her husband with Wendy.

And they climbed into bed either side of her
and cuddled Mummy. And all cried.

The next day

They visited Chloe's grave
and placed the letter on her grave
inside some beautiful bluebells

Chloe favourite flowers.
That grow in their own garden
that she loved. Along with her
Mr Teddy all wrapped up in a
protective cover Specially made
for them all.

To lose a child is such sadness, to lose a sibling no less. Always speak the name of those who have gone. No awkward silences, let them be remembered not hidden away. Lovely words Dawn, made me tearful. Hope you are doing OK. How goes it?
