Helpful Info.A Poem by Onlymeregards support and advice for Cancer. If your unfortunate to be told you have cancer. It's not always when you're at hospital daily getting the treatment. That you need the support and help. As it's there where you are of course. So easy to arrange and get while in the building. It's sometimes. Afterwards when no one is their. After the effects of the Chemo and Radiotherapy kicks in. And your losing weight. And lacking vitamins like B12 and vitamin D and maybe also Iron too. Outwith needing emotional support and a listening ear. More septically to infections and upsets. You are fatigued, everything is a struggle. Can't sleep moody, frustrated, feeling abandoned alone and upset. In pain and discomfort. These are the times you need support and someone to really talk to who understands and actually cares. Yes, Macmillan Nurses are great and wonderful. But due to the overwhelming amount of people who have Cancer. There is not always enough to go around. And get back to you quickly. Sometimes it takes a day or two. For them to return a call as so overworked. And as to Hospital helpline. Sometimes you are quicker just going to the hospital and getting seen too. Or even visiting your local GP. Then mess around with some pen pusher. Who is actually trying to get you off the phone and to stop bugger her/him in general? Who is unhelpful and even nasty. It's like you get all the support and help. While in a hospital and later on. When alone and the after affect kick in of your treatment. That is when you really need it the most. And for some reason, you don't always get it. Due to cutbacks and pen pushers in charge. Just a word of warning. Help yourself. And don't rely on anyone else. When you're ill. As the cutbacks on the NHS. I know each and everyone story is different this is ours. Also, find others like yourself who are going through the same situation as they really know what they are talking about and give great advice and support.
