Auld Lang Syne... Is Ahead....

shindig.. ie party,

A few more days and a New Year

is ahead of us all.

The start of something new.

Some people decided to just

treat it as just another day.

And go to bed at normal time.

Then get up bright and early.

And phone their family

all around

to wish them

a Happy New Year.

Other enjoy a "shindig

to welcome

in the New Year

at home".

With family, friends and everyone

are basically welcomed

to their party.

As they sing and dance

and make merriment as well

as get pissed.

And just before the bells do toll

.

They stand and hold hands

and sing.

"Auld Lang Syne to one and all."

As well as rising a

glass for wealth

and happiness for

the coming year.

Others they do enjoy.

Going to a City Centre bash.

With hundreds of people gathered

around bringing

in the New Year.

With celebrates

and music, cheering and having

a great time.

Kisses and hugs

from one and all.

As the big ball drops

From the Town Hall.

The fireworks do go off.

A massive cheer

is heard loud and clear.

As well as the words a

"Happy New Year".

Spare a thought

from the workers.

Like hospital staff,

doctors and nurses,

cleaners on the streets

and such like. Who work hard

on this particularly day to cover all evens.

They deserve praise too.
