Snowflakes & Heart Flakes.

Snowflakes & Heart Flakes.

A Poem by Onlyme

Snowflakes and heart flakes
intermingled at Christmas time.
love and laughter.
Good tidings and blessings.

Hugs and kisses to old friends
and newly made.

Eggnog and mulled cider,
As well as Champagne.

Gingerbread, shortbread.
To help it all go down a treat.

Strawberries for the
Champers of course. wink.

Love is in the air
new romances are formed.

Families come from far and
wide to be together
at this festival time.

Our family pets
  they too
just love a
treat or present
at Christmas Time.

Some folks even dress
their kitties and puppies up
in little Xmas sweaters
and bow ties.

With a bobble hat to
finish it off.

I must admit.
The poor little souls.
Hate being dressed up.

Particularly any I have seen.

Ho Ho. Merry Xmas
one and all.

warmth, so much warmth spreading from Your words, I feel as if I'm near a fireplace, hearing all the good laughter, smiling with bliss... You let me imagine it, and feel it. Thank You my lovely friend, and the very very Merry Xmas for You, and all Your loved ones.

Such a seasonal poem Dawn of love and goodwill. So much warmth in your words. Of course we should not forget our pets at this time of year. They are all part of family and you have honoured them in your lines. Your poem like a great big comfort blanket my friend. All good wishes.
