Winter Time & Christmas.A Poem by OnlymeChurch bells ringing. And children singing. Carol sings at the front door. Snow like a thick untouched white carpet on the outside ground. Twinkling, multi-coloured lights and Christmas decorations adorn most homes outside and in. Along with have a Christmas tree to top it all of perfectly. Cats and dogs cosy and warm, in front of an open log fireplace. (If their owners have got one in their homes). Or else, they are snuggled up on the sofa, cuddled up, to their human companion for warmth and pure undeny love from them. Children excited, full of wonder and sheer delight at Santa's visit on Christmas Day, coming real soon. Mums and Dad, preparing all. Food, presents, drinks, fun and laughter, for the coming time for one and for all, in the home to share such joy. Old people in the care homes. Looking forward to Christmas Dinner with their friends and staff. Pulling crackers and eating trifle and chocolate cake. And family coming to visit them and give them extra special gifts, to show how much they are loved. Children stuck in a hospital are waiting for Santa to come, to see them all. As someone told them. Santa was coming in, to check, they were all being good as gold. Their little faces, they did just light up. And the mums and dads they did cry tears of joy.At that delightful treat in store for their sick loved ones for Christmas ahead. The homeless souls on the cold and wet sleet streets hopefully, some will be lucky enough to find a hostel or a shelter for some warmth and maybe some food to eat this Xmas time. © 2018 Onlyme |
