All of me in my poems. Sad and stupid, but true.

All of me in my poems. Sad and stupid, but true.

A Poem by Onlyme

I just feel so broken and fragile
within myself, crying my eyes out
and feeling upset as so
emotionally battered and
bruised.( figured of speech
wise I hasten to add).

Life is an up hill struggle
we all feel at times.
Just keep feeling like
a perform seal at the
zoo. Used to entertain
others.

Smiles are far and few
between, putting others
before myself seems
to be my task in life.

No wonder, I really feel
low at times, stuck and
sinking slowly but surely
bit by bit.

Fighting my own demons
in my own head and
heart, and wishing and
wanting, to be my old
self again. Upbeat and
friendly and helpful.

But when you love
someone you are
pulled into an emotional
whirl and they become
your life and world.
And when they sick,
it's hard to relax at times
as you fret.
I care to much, that is my
problem, no magic wand
I can wave. I'am just me.

It's so emotionally draining,
scary and depression.
The fears you feel and they
do about there cancer.

But life goes on, no matter
for us all.

Sorry for the out pouring
of my emotions again.
Poetry has saved a soul
in me.

I would be lost without it
in my life.

How sad is that?

But true. Dawn.

Dawn - you have a viable outlet for your emotions. How much better do you feel after you have spilled your guts out? Believe it or not I'm sure that there are many, myself included, that feel your agony and wish we could help you wash it away. Love is a commitment that unfortunately often requires much sacrifice and we can't always expect a return on our 'investment.'

Take care - Dave

Thanks Pete and what you said is so very true.
Though having a relationship adds more to someone's emotional plate, we do get to share part of their desserts. A variety of options. Options are good! We must learn how to give without depleting ourselves. Not a fast, easy lesson

Thanks Barbara, It's easy said than done, in relationship sometimes you give to much of yourself.
Wow the power in poetry, its like an absorber of troubles. When you channel all of your worries into writing you will always feel better

Hi dawn writing is therapeutic, for venting, for healing, for letting go. It’s a nice interaction too with many nice poets here and the added bonus, if no one reviews your work you can give yourself a review. Cheers. Hope you feel better.
