Simple Pleasures for children.

Children are free spirits who like

to play in puddles and with water and

dirty or mud found in the garden of course.

Even a simple cardboard box

that once was packing for goods

brought into the family home.

Is great enjoyment for a kid to play with.

To which they let their imagination run riot and

turn it into a castle, a fort or even a fancy home

that they will spend hours of contentment and pure joy playing in

.

Other times playing "hide and seek" or "tag" in and

around the family home or even outdoors, in the

garden or in and around the local area close

to home with their mates

Dressing up in mum and dads clothing and

shoes. Being a "princesses" and the "Lord of the Manor"

maybe even "cowboys and Indians "or "doctors and nurses".

Outwith Playing on bikes and carts. As well

as the odd board game and reading a good book.

Making paper planes and playing with skipping ropes

for the girls. Hopscotch, patty cake or the cup game

which are hand clapping games. From when I was young.

They used their imagination more. And none of this

mobile phone or computers or modern technology eating

into their little brain cells every day. Like it is

now. Growing up to fast. And leaving childhood behind.

From fancier modern gadgets and so-called superduper electronic toys.

To where the kids sit all day glued to the screen and doing nothing else.

Not moving but sitting indoors.
