Benevolence

Kindness sparing a few coins to give to a

homeless person. Down on his luck

sleeping on the streets bedraggled and

dirty and depressed.

Smiling at an old lady. As she

passes by with a heavy load of shopping

and  asking her if she would like some

help with her bags.

Kind simple acts to show you care

towards others around you. Who are not just

blood-related. And you don't do it for a

reward or a thank you either.

You do it because you can basically.

Most humans lack empathy, compassion,

generosity, affection, warmth and caring

towards others. Outwith they're own family members
I mean. And to me, that is so tragically sad and selfish.

They just don't see the bigger picture of humanity

and life. Just their small enclosed frame sized view

of their very own.

I certainly don't have much in life myself. But I share and

care whenever I can towards others. It does not

cost much or anything to be considerate, compassionate,

loving and caring towards a fellow spirit on this planet.

You could actually make someone's day better. Let alone

put a big smile on souls face. And that individual I bet

appreciated what you did for them big time. And you might

have put them in a better frame of mind and a better

outlook towards their life or day in general. And that means a lot.

Doing unselfish acts. for others is more than worthwhile.

Try it and see.  You never know in life when you might

need a helping hand or comfort from someone who is not

related to you.

Oh wow! How nice dawn! This is such a wonderful message you're conveying! We definitely should show acts of kindness! Even simple things.... A smile is worth it. It's proven that generosity makes you feel better on the inside too. Don't you think this makes sense though? Two people become happy by a simple act of kindess VS being selfish and living a life of bitter uncaring? What makes us human? Caring... Dawn - I love your message. I do volunteer work and I can give testimony to the wonderful deeds of those I work with and the thanks shown by the recipients of their efforts. Personally I visit people in nursing homes and this time of year I get one of my biggest rewards. I visit them as Santa. I have gorgeous outfit with a glorious white wig and beard. Dawn - I swear those old folks become as children again with Santa. To see the expressions on their faces, this really, really makes my Christmas.
