Luscious Linda

Luscious Linda

A Poem by Onlyme

she wore bright red lipstick
A red long flowing wig
and a dress to die for.
Her legs were elegant and long.
And nails like long claws.
And heels making her taller than
her already 6-foot frame height in
barefoot.

No, he was actually a guy.
He was a straight
a guy from the local neighbourhood.
Where I grew up.
He was married with 2 kids.

But he was a regular at the gay clubs
uptown. On stage doing his drag act.
And having everyone having a great time.
And enjoying his singing and outrageous
humour and style.

Let alone the entertaining them all to
the max. Who came and watched his
show. Don't get me wrong. It was unusual
at first for a  straight guy to do drag acts.
But over time the initial shock of it all.
Everyone loved him. As they all thought
he was gay. And was actually not. Due
to his chosen career.

"Luscious Linda" was her name on stage.

His wife even came and show his show.
And loved it.
