folk,  have money, power and statues.

They are still human like the rest of

us.

Just with more money.

To flaunt in our poor faces.

It's a point worth reminding us of Dawn. We are all human but today with the media spinning out of control too many think these people are special. As our Scottish poet Robert Burns said 200 years ago, 'the rank is but the guineas stamp.' meaning titles make no difference to the worth of a person. Well written!

Very true...something people seem to forget, blinded by the shine of glitter and gold.
In line 6, though, I think you meant 'status', not 'states'.
As for me, I was shocked to learn that my refined, stately grandmum did those things. The rest of the family, though rich, were never as proper and reserved as she!
