Freddie Ferret.

Freddie Ferret sure does love to play

in his plastic tube all day.

Scurrying here and their

chasing a plastic ball

and grab it in his mouth.

And also running off with it.

He has a hammock in his cage.

He loves to stretch and yawn

and snooze all day.

He smells of musk.

And has lovely fur.

He is a cutie and a funny little

soul.

And he actually loves his brushy

brush. Where he

will chuckle and chatter

away as you brush his glorious coat.

I love ferrets. My aunt used to have 2 of them and I was a little scared of them at first when she let them out because they ran so fast, but once I got used to them, they were so sweet. I don’t remember the male’s name, but the female was Farrah! I’ve never read a poem about ferrets before and I loved this one!

Ferrets and Polecats are the third domestic Carnivore after dogs and cats and can be amazing and attentive pets. Looks like ‘Freddie’ is keeping feed and happy – nice poetic tribute – makes this reader smile ... :-)
