The challenges of living with and loving someone who is dealing with CancerA Poem by OnlymeThe challenges of living with and loving someone who is dealing with the Cancer Is far from easy. I can tell you. They have mood swings. Other times they are happy and taking each new day in a more positive approach. And other days. They are knee deep down in the darkness and just can't see any light. Those days are tough. Outwith the harsh, gruelling treatments, medication, Doctors, Hospital visits. And keep notes and list of this and that. It's far from easy for them. To take in all. The diagnoses the treatment and then the waiting game. Of wondering is it all in vain. Did it work or not. Am I Cancer free Or am I going to die eventually. This is a cruel disease and evil. It does not care what your background is your money statues. Or what part of the Country Or World you come from. Let alone if your young or old. The list is endless to what this monster does not care about. It's okay for me to say I understand When truefully I really don't fully understand Only the people that this Beast makes suffer understand fully what it's truefully like to face this Devil in the face each and every day. I admire their courage, faith, hope, determination and love to fight and not give up. That is an understatement of what these people deal with and must overcome and defeat. Us as family members. Are spectators of this nightmare. Who try to give comfort, hope, love and encouragement when they find it tough. Let alone us having to see what a loved one has to cope with. We are okay. In a way. As it's not us. But it does not make it any easier. They suffer as we do. But they are the warriors and the true heroes and heroines. Another thing is some people even back off from them thinking they are lepers and to me that is sad. Like they think it is catching. How nuts can you be. And that is family members. I am talking about. © 2018 Onlyme |
