Had a little chuckle today.

Our daily visitor of a cat

not ours.

A neighbours' who

is overrun with cats.

And a bit mean on the food.

So this little soul actually called

 "Cheeky" by nature and cheeky

by name...

Always comes

for seconds or thirds.

When her master's cupboard is bear

so to speak.

So today came with his boyfriend

or girlfriend. Not quite sure

yet. As the little cat is shy.

So had two bowls of food

today for both.

Side by side. Eating and tails

up. Happy as can be.

Made me smile.

Cheeky is so sure of your kindness it brought a friend along to introduce you ! What a lovely ritual you have! I love ( animals in general) cats especially. I loved your story. If the word gets around that you are serving Cheeky, you will have regular visits by the rest of the gang too.

I enjoyed this tiny little story because it is true, or could be , or should be. Be aware you may be the victim of a con. My father had two dogs, outside dogs, well fed, well cared for. Sly clever fellows that after Dad had fed them took off on their regular route for regular morning handouts. Dad had one of them overnighted at the vet's and two neighbors called inquiring about the freeloader who missed his morning second breakfast.
Now, I have no surviving pets, but a neighbor has a pet potbellied pig who visits me every morning about 9AM. She finished off the remaining dog biscuits, then the left over bag of cat food so I bought a 40# bag of corn and she polishes off about three cups every morning before she goes on her way. I assume she goes home, but knowing what I know, I have to concede she may only be making one more stop on her route.
