Getting Ready....date night

Botox, leg waxing,

false nails, dyed hair

Brazilian, pedicure,

manicure this list is

endless.

Even before they

get their outfit for

the night out and

matching shoes

and a handbag.

Gee when I was young.

My grandmother used to

tell me they would stain

their legs with cold tea

for a tan and then use a

mascara eyeliner pencil.

To put a straight line up

the back of their

legs.

So it would look

like a pair of stockings,

they had on.

And a little bit of lipstick

and curls in their hair

from old-fashioned steel

curls they had in.

For a few

hours before date.

And just before they get

ready with a nice dress

they would take them out.

As their hair would be set for

the date ahead.

O,h how times have changed!.

But not the excitement of a

new date with someone

you fancied.

ahahaha gave me a chuckle Dawn .. things have changed indeed .. all but the excitement ... and not to mention the cost .. just a movie with popcorn and pop tops 35-40 dollars .. sheesh! i gew up in the 50s and 60s and girls then were all about hair spray ... no running ones fingers through those bee-hives ;)))))))))) and then the hippies came ... clothes from Good Will ... no shoes .. and a date was hitch hike to the river side to watch the sun go down ..oh yes ...the times have changed for sure

Eistein those days a bit before my time. Sounds great. They where more relaxed and didn't spent a lot to have a good time. Nowadays it all about fancy things they can buy and spend on. Instead of just enjoying each others company.

yeah ... we use to spend hours just hanging out at one place or another ... and not to do drugs ... we ate chocolate cream pie and drank coka-cola at the local corner dive ;)

I must admit. I don't get all this plastered with makeup the modern girl is like nowadays. I was in the hairdresser other day. And this young girl. Had a pretty face. But her makeup was plastered on with a trowel. Far to much she had on. And I thought to myself. Why? Pretty girl. Less crap on face needed. I guess each to their own thou.
