hard times... are trying...

The warmth of a kind smile

the hug of kindness

and those caring ways.

The love of that special someone

The bonds we make

When in love.

But hard times can rot

and take a toll

on anyone.

Particularly in a relationship

when under a lot of stress

daily.

A never-ending stream of

anxiety and woes.

Can break you or make you

stronger.

Life is a balancing act.

As is a relationship. 

Being able to communicate

understand and relate to

each other in good times

and more so bad.

Helps enormously.

If you can not talk

all is gone....sadly.

You have emphasised the importance of communication in relationships. Much easier when all is well, but when hard times strike, particularly illness that becomes even more important. The role of carer can place a great deal of stress on a relationship. Keeping things balanced is a must. Much truth in your words Dawn.Written with understanding. Hope you are ok.

Thanks Chris, been a really had week gone past. He was ill and in hospital. A few ups and downs and upsets and worrying times. But doing bit better now and he is home. Thanks for asking Chris. Miss my poetry. But just never had time. With hospital and life.
