Some very much thrive on the drama of life (they would hate my life), but I totally understand your craving for an existence more calming & supportive of following one's own inner inclinations, rather than going along with crowds or having one's thoughts drowned out by the noise. That's why I worked all my life to earn the privilege of now finally thriving in my wilderness solitude. I've read a number of pieces where it feels like you're chafing badly from many aspects of life. That's how I felt for years but just keep your eye on the goal that would pacify your heart . . . you'll get there someday, as long as you can visualize where you want to be! It's like when you put a little bit of salt onto your steak and it's perfect enough for the flavor to stand out. Anymore salt and the flavor gets lost. Keep it simple in your depth. I like the way you do that.
I wish I could walk home in an empty world. No one around.
Keep digging up what you find. It needs that light.
