For me, the soul is what's born of death. But, however, life grips hold the 'spirit' of good and evil. And in a veiled way - in answer to your question, without an earthly spirit Man is without conscience. Your words touch, truly do.. but tis best to remember the beauty and kindness all around just waiting to be pondered over. Perhaps.

There is no absolute moral truth. What's "right" depends on the values a person holds. Each person values different things at different times, so their definition of "right" and "wrong" may change over time.
As to the soul, I like to think we all have one however looking at the headlines these days - I'm left wondering.
