Hustle & Bustle...A Poem by OnlymeWalking around these little back-end streets In a small village in the heart of England in the back of beyond.
On a glorious summers' day. The sun is. Shining. And everyone is out and about. The smell of freshly baked bread is in the air and children and families are chatting as they walk on past. With ice-lollies and ice-cream cones. Smiling and having a good day.
I look within the windows of the shops. Some. Selling local gifts and crafts from artistic people. Who live locally. The tourists are out in force. Buying up their wares.
The local cafe is busy with tea and scones and cups of coffee as everyone is parched. And have a well-earned rest from this delight busy place.
Morris dances are outperforming for the crowds. And getting donations for the local Sunday School to take children for a day away to the seaside, one day in April.
Their is also a local cattle market going on just down the road. And farmers from the counties near by and farare here. Selling and buying. Sheep and cows you name it. And depending on the way the wind blows you get a whiff of oh natural country life in the air.
