Looking Past The Surface....

Looking Past The Surface....

A Poem by Onlyme

A crooked house
with a crooked staircase
with wonky furniture
and very old belongs inside it.

She was the witch of the west
And lived here for other a thousand years
She loved to cackle and crack bad jokes.

Even kidding on.  she was beautiful to the local
handsome men in her community.

But really she was an old hag. Ugly and old.
With missing teeth and a bad smile. That
made you want to gag.

But she had a heart of gold.
She helped out at all the local Children hospital
events. Obviously, she changed her appearance to
suit the part. At Christmas time she became
an elf. Giving out candy canes and
chocolate and toys to the children.
With Santa as they went around the beds.

On any children birthday, she gave them a
massive Birthday Card they would love and
a wonderful gift too.

You name it. She was their first in the queue
to help and assist. To make the children smile
and feel better.

So you see this ugly witch. Is actually a really
nice person.

So never judge a person. By how they look is
the moral of this little tale.

As beauty is only skin deep. It's actually what
is deep inside that matters more.

I agree Dawn,
"As beauty is only skin deep. It's actually what
is deep inside that matters more."
The most beautiful people don't seek attention. They just do good things without seeking rewards. Thank you for sharing your words and thoughts. I did like them.
