She sat alone......

She sat alone......

A Poem by Onlyme

She sat alone on
a misty wet fall
early morning at
her graveside.

On her knees.
Talking to Chloe.

A tiny white cross
with a statue
of a beautiful angel
just to the side of it.

And her name
below the cross.
On a plague.
With her sweet picture.
Of a cute little baby girl
smiling and cooing.
Just shy of one year of age.

Her mother Sue
is talking so tenderly
to her beloved child.
About her new ahead day.

And brought with her
a new little pink teddy bear
to adorn her
already growing
collection of adorable trinkets.

Her marriage faded and
John left.
They both could not
recover from their loss
of Chloe.
And now John.
Lives in another county.

And Sue only sees him at
Chloes anniversary.
At her graveside.

What keeps Sue
going is
her love
for her little angel.

So every day.
Don't be surprised
if you see Sue
kneeling by Chloes
tiny grave and talking.
