Selfish Thoughtless People.

Particularly when you are ill. They still keep coming getting you to help them with crap and stupid things. That could wait.

Some people are thoughtless

stupid and unkind.

They just don't think of others

They know the situation

and circumstances.

And bluntly don't care.

As long as they are okay.

And you are doing what

they wish.

They don't give a damn

regards your feelings or

emotional needs.

How sad is that?

When you deliberately have

to spell it out to them

To back off?

And leave him alone.

As he is not up to helping

you with stupid, silly stuff.

But because you are kind

and decent. You do this

stuff for them. And they

just take and take and

take without a care

for you at all.

I know exactly what you're saying and it feels very satisfying to have you voice it so perfectly like this. I'm the type of person who tries not to impact other people's lives negatively, but there are others who tromp all over the perimeter of my life without any respect at all. Your poem convey the sheer indignant outrage that one feels, when having to ASK for the simple respect that humans should just normally give to one another, even strangers, not reciprocating just becuz you helped him.
