Butterfly Baby

Butterfly skin -Epidermolysis bullosa: A term that includes three types of rare, inherited blistering skin diseases. The skin is so fragile minor rubbing can cause major pain and skin to fall off.

Her baby had butterfly skin

and the slightest touch

could make her cry and

her skin falls off.

It was fiery red and sore

to look at and touch.

She had bandages all over

her tiny body.

So fragile and delicate.

Her mother loved her with

all her might and she felt hurt

by the stares and nasty

words.

As nasty people commented

or where heard saying out

loud as they walking past her

as she pushed her daughter

in her pram.

And when they saw her

sweet innocent child.

Think before you open

your wicked mouth folks.

You are so sensitive to the needs of others. I had a younger brother who had Downs' Syndrome.
Unfortunately I know too well how insensitive some people can be to people, especially children who are different. He is no longer with us. Every once in a while when I'm out shopping I see "Billy" and I'm reminded he is not here anymore.

People should be more sensitive towards others. They themselves would not like it. If someone spoke to them mean or nasty. Or someone they loved dearly. Such is life. Dawn.

I've never heard of this disease, went to search for it, my heart was so sore, my tears fall... it's such a painful disease,I can't think that they can't even be hold to gain more love and comfort, I think of their moms... how painful it's for them, and they can't even hold their own beautiful babies, I can't believe how some people can be that nasty, insensitive and non humanistic, my heart breaks and cries... this is really painful.

I do agree Light, how some so called human beings are so spiteful and nasty towards others who do them no harm at all. Life particularly some humans are evil and mean beyond words. Dawn
