I really warmed to this poem, Dee ( if you,ll forgive the pun) as it was a fascinating reminder of my boyhood, when we had open coal fires .
I would sit watching the glowing coal and flames create pictures, even stories in my imagination.
Even now, I can still see abstract patterns in tiles etc resemble objects, which prompts a painting or a piece of writing. So perhaps it is something we never lose. Is this what creativity is all about?
