Sitting At The Dock Of The PierA Poem by OnlymeSitting at the end of the dock at the pier with my legs and toes dipped into the cold water of the lake I look towards the sky The multicolours of a mini rainbow I do see before me from light blue, yellows ruby red and glimmers of white snowtop shades that paint the heavens above me A flock of geese fly past and I hear their flapping wings and crying to each other to keep in line I smile and stand up Turn around and walk back towards land from the pier And look ahead as well as hearing the knocking of the pier woodas I walk with each new step under my bare feet And I see before me the countryside rich and green so majestic coming to life with wildflowers before me from heather, wild roses, daisies, corncockles to name a few. Palletes of whites, reds and blues as well as purple of the heather with the odd dotting of strong oat trees across the countryside. The sun is shining no clouds in the sky A perfect day. to saviour
