Do we

really talk

to each other?

is it just noise?

what is for dinner?

want a cup of tea?

see you later......

not actually

caring at all

fleeting moments

of small talk

even in our

own homes

with our own

families

and close friends

so much suffering

and poetry self-harm

drug abuse

sex abuse

alcohol

the list is

long on

self-destruct

writing seems

to be

our escape

from suffering

and pain

or religion

or said above

to cope

or even far

worse death

why can

we not

properly

be honest

with each other

anymore in life?

Why do

we pretend

with fake chat

and

small talk

when

someone close

is hurting?

Nicely done and said rightly. I think, sometimes it is easier to peruse the surface than to get into the underneath. But we must try. People are often shocked about my willingness to open up. I learned, painfully so, that hiding one's truth can be very harmful, and keep a person from being the best person one can be.
