Oh How I Adore You Great Golden Eagle...

Oh How I Adore You Great Golden Eagle...

A Poem by Onlyme

I want to walk
into the
deepest forest
and roam freely
and gaze upon
a bald eagle
as he dips and soars
between
the mountain tops
and glides
and watch him
swoop
and
dive
with such elegant
easy
and gracefulness
let alone
skill
to catch
a salmon
from the bed
of the river
below
To be as free
as
that
said eagle
oh how
I wish
His majestic stature
his powerful talons
as well as
his mighty wingspan
and plumage
of rich colours
of
dark blacks with browns
woven into his
detailed feathers
And his  large
hooked striking
yellow beak
so robust
and strong
 His headscarf
 of
snow-white garb
that
is so distinctive
and regal
is finished
of his masculine
look.
As he
Surveys
his kingdom
from
top of the height tree
or mountain peak
he is the ruler of
his land
the
mountains
river
and the forest
below.
How I envy this
awe-inspiring
creature.

I kind of do this every day where I live. I travel often on my Island and see bald eagles everywhere, and yes they are majestic. They are also scared of crows..but don't tell anyone.
