Parallel Universes

My eye well up

and my tears

do flow

my heart aches

and my soul breaks

my body is weak

my spirit is low

all around the world

this very moment

in time

I know

I am not alone

as others

feel the same as me

In some parallel universe

I am sure there are

happy all of us

just wishing

it was US today

this side of

the universe

for a change.

Or more so

we could just be happy

in general

instead of sad

on either side

of this

parallel universe
