Driving Past Pretty Little Villages....A Poem by OnlymePretty little villages quaint and smart and clean in the countryside with meadow deep and green Narrow bending roads dyke walls and smell of pooh to keep your nose amused farmers with their cattle and sheepdog ready on hand to gather those naughty cattle or sheep if they do stray Holidaymakers dotted around with funny little hats and trinkets of this and that in their bags or putting them in their boots of their cars as you pass and do see Those cute looking charming little tea shops with benches out front. Licking an ice lolly or an ice cream cone I do spy with my little eye. Someone people have a nice time local children playing on swings at the local school at break time laughing and cheering and giggling And workers from shops and offices enjoying the midday break in the sun. with a sandwich and a coffee close at hand built to last dotted along the route with wonderful thatched roofs. The local pubs and tennis court, golf courses and gyms. Bakery and restaurants odd pizza place I spot too. Driving pass in my car. These views I do enjoy. Passing all these little villages in my car as I go for a ride to chill out and I feel blessed and contented at the simple beauty all around. Dear old Great Britain
