Healing.....Top Ups...

I hate it when people are upset

It really upset me 

and gets me down

I wish that magic wand

 I really could hold

 and wave around frantically 

and sort everything in this world

let alone everyone 

that is sad, broken

and upset.

So much pain 

and discomfort 

in this sick world.

That really aches

 your heart,

 spirit and soul

and hurts so profoundly.

Their should be goodness 

and love

always in this world. 

 when you down 

or distressed

You just reach right out.

 And get a super duper charge

 of outstanding love, compassion

and reassurance 

that everything will be good and sorted.

And it

 heals you

 right up.

Like going to

 the petrol station 

and getting a top up

of petrol

 to help you 

on your way..

But this does more than that..

It makes you whole again

 really euphoric

 very content

within yourself...basically for you.

This poem reminds me of what I have to do every day for my daughter. Her mother has a controlling mother who tries to run her life and because of that her mother feels under pressure as a parent to do what she can to please her mother (if you follow what I'm saying)...my ex knows what a pain her mother is but when my daughter stands up for her to her grandmother she comes down hard on both of them..but when she comes to stay with me it's a totally different place so I spend some of the time trying to make her feel better and show her that no matter how bad it is with her grandmother she always has a place here where she can be herself and not walk around on egg shells

Thanks for your kind words....she's a totally different child (sorry young woman she's 14) when she's with me. When she's with her mother she's arguing non stop..but when she's here it's like were best buddies..messing about, banter etc.

That is lovely to hear George, does you both good. As she has a true friend in her father. ie YOU. You make her world complete. That the type of father. I would wish for. A decent kind father with a wonderful heart and glorious soul. Hugs.

Hi Dee.. Sorry to say but this is not my favourite of your work. There are some nice analogies but on the whole I don't think it's your best work.
Please don't think me mean. I feel as though you got a little misplaced somewhere around sick world. I've definately read better works by your hand. Sorry. But I think that's why we here isn't it.
