When you look at someone faces what do you actually see?
Do you see just the beauty On the surface? Or fully comprehend their inner spirit and beauty of their soul as well?
When, I look at someone. I see the person within. I see who they are Not just their facial features on the outside.
I see the eyes they are the
windows to the heart, mind and soul.
I see the eyes that are weather beating with time and age. The skin that has been worn with events and existence of time go by. I also notice their nature and their
character, by the way, the stand and
project their feelings. And actions.
And get an idea of who they really are interiorly. Wherever they be happy or sad or even simply content with life
in general at that moment
in time.
I just do not just see a pretty face
or a handsome guy.
Or an old lady
as well as an old gentleman. I see the essences of who they really are!
Sometimes, you should look deeper
into someone eyes.
Face and take proper close up observation.
Plus really show you care. By noticing them properly for who they are deeper inside.
What a beautiful message! I love how you clearly state what you want your readers to hear. You know what you want to tell others, and you don't stall and hide it. You are very upfront, which can be very rare in poems. The topic of your poem is very real, and is also very rare. I have only met one person who is able to read someone when they immediately meet them, without prejudice or judgement clouding their vision, just complete curiosity and welcoming. This kind of person is very special, and is usually loved by anyone they meet. I too wish everyone could see a person for who they were without appearance creating their own perspective of a person. Amazing job.

Thank you Eve, for your wonderful insightful view. Loved hear from you.
people need to take the time to really see a person and to not judge a book by its cover.. There is a deep need to be seen for who we are and it needs to be really looked at... Nice way to express this in writing, thank you for sharing it..
The eyes are the mirrors of the soul. You can tell a great deal by looking at someone's eyes. You have to look deeper than outward appearances to find the true person. Wise words from you Dee
Dee - you speak loud and clear. There is so much more to a person than what one sees in their face. Where has it been? What trials and tribulations had it weathered? Indeed we must look deeper and longer to see the living being that is beyond the facade they wear on their face.
