She was in the local hosptial, getting ready to give birth to her first child.
Her partner was holding her hand tighly as she felt the next contraction
come again. Hitting her like menstruate cramp in her lower back. With internal
twiting of the baby inside. She was so glad she had a epedurial. She growned as
she felt the baby move inside. And she turned to see her man. Lightly wipe the
perperation from her brow. And the midwife. Saying.
Your doing nicely Annie. She felt the babies head start to crown and that felt
like a ring on fire. And then with aiding hand gently but protectly and forthwith
help her new born son arrive into this world.
The nurse cleaned him up. Checked his air ways and fingers and toes. And
wrapped him up nicely in a cosy warm blanket fit for a prince.
He cried. And then after awhile settled down. And drifted off into a contented
sleep. Both parent. Proud as punch. And the doctor and midwive both coming
back to checking on them both. Doing nicely this new unit of a family. Plus one
more. Said Dr Scott who was the doctor on call that night.
As the doctor and nurse walk away from the bed. All you could hear was a gentle
snoring from this new born son.
